5C Science Bus

5C Science Bus is an non profit student run organization at the Claremont Colleges that teaches weekly lessons to elementary school students from underrepresented backgrounds. Each week we visit five different schools in the Pomona Unified School district. We will write the lesson and bring all supplies necessary for each lesson. Topics range through all areas of science, from biology to computer science to astronomy. We also host an annual Science Day at Harvey Mudd College where we teach elementary school students interactive lessons and strive to motivate enthusiasm for science.

We encourage students of all majors, not just science majors, to apply to join Science Bus. While we seek to educate students, we are not a replacement for their science curriculum. We aim to make science fun and show students how you can be passionate about learning. By showing our passion for learning, whether it be a passion for math, literature, or art, will hopefully help inspire future generations to learn.
